How are tuition rates kept reasonable? Community Preschool is able to offer low tuition rates because we are a non-profit, cooperative preschool.  Our school relies upon parents to assist in the classroom several times a year, and once a year to provide volunteer services as a committee job.  Parent helping also offers parents the opportunity to be involved in and contribute to their child’s education.

Where should I park when I bring my child to school? There are a couple of options for parking.  You can park along the streets on 6th street or Douglas, or you may use the church parking lot that is directly east of the church on the other side of Douglas. You may not park in the drive way that starts on the west end of the building and goes along the back of the building. This is a fire lane and must remain open at all times.

What time can I drop my child off for classes? You may drop your child off no more than 5 minutes before class starts. Please respect the teacher’s time as they use this time to prepare the classroom for the day.  Also, please be courteous of the teacher’s time and arrive on time for classes and when picking children up after class.

What can I do if I cannot parent help on my scheduled day? You are responsible to find a replacement for your assignment.  If you do not find a substitute, the class may have to be cancelled for the day. To find a sub start with your class list. Often there are parents who are willing to switch days.  If you have exhausted this resource you can look to the Paid Substitute list. People listed on this list have said they would be willing to be paid to help out. You will pay a sub $15 if you provide the snack/drink or $20 if they provide it for you. People on the list may not always be available, but it is a good resource. Also don’t forget to check with family members who may be able to fill in for you.  We love to have dads, grandmas and grandpas visit our classes.
